I love this phone
I've had this for a week now. I love this phone, its not too big, not too small. Very thin. Very fast. I mean fast enough to be useful and has not freezed up or slowed down. I don't use it for gaming. Some have mention the picture quality isn't very good, well it is very good. Its almost as good as the iPhone, but I've seen really high end phones with better picture quality. It is good enough to be a smart phone you wont be disappointed. For $119 this phone is worth every penny!!! Boost sells it for $250!! Ouch!! Hope you don't pay that much. For a limited time only they are selling it for $110 now, but its Refurbished! Not bad, Glad I bought it here NEW" and it took only two days to ship with PRIME!! NICE huh!! YouTube videos load up fast through wifi, the downside is Boost network, you only have so much data usage before things start slowing down, I try not to use it to see clips, just texts and internet browsing. My girlfriend who has an iPhone, couldn't put it down, she really like it a lot. She loved how easy it is to navigate through it. Its very responsive and feels very SMOOTH with the touch of your fingers. Scrolling is quick and smooth. LOVE it so far!! The bad, I don't like the orange/red, but I got a charcoal black cover for it, so that will take care of it. Texting isn't the best, the keys are often hard to find. But coming from a guy who has owned a keyboard qwarty phone forever, I am learning how to type on it. There are downloads which can help, I am going to see if I can do it faster if not will download a keyboard app. Also, you cannot watch YOUTUBE and text at the same time. Multitasking. Otherwise its worth every penny!! Buy this phone, don't waste your money on other stuff, this is a great phone!!

Great Mid-Level Phone for the Price
Great quality phone. For $120 no contract, you really can't beat the price. The storage space is a bit low by today's standards (advertised as 8GB, more like 4GB of actual usable storage), but it does take SD cards and you're not going to run low on space from the get go so can't really complain. Powerful enough to run Facebook, Chrome, Instagram, Gmail, Music and Camera apps all at same time. Very nice solid feel in your hand, perfect screen size for browsing the internet and watching videos etc (although I personally prefer a bit of a larger screen, not to say this one is small though!). This phone isn't of course as nice as a HTC One M7, but you get what you pay for. Battery life is pretty good in my opinion. If you are connected to wifi, of course it's going to drain it, as with any phone or ipod. (If you have bad connection, like 2 bars, it will drain your battery faster as well, again, as with any phone.) I can go the entire day playing music, talking on the phone, texting, getting on facebook, getting on chrome, taking pictures with flash on without having to charge. Takes pretty nice pictures for price. No it's not 10000mp dual camera whatever, but you get what you pay for. Shoots 1080p video and one thing I really love is the ability to turn on the flash while recording video. It is a VERY bright LED. I use it as a flashlight sometimes in the dark. The burst feature lets you take like 30 shots in 2 seconds, thought that was pretty cool. The music player on here is great. Plus BEATS AUDIO haha. Makes it sounds noticeably better. The speaker is pretty loud honestly. You can open your main bottom 4 apps directly from the lock screen by swiping one of their icons up instead of the lock and it directly opens that app. Nice little feature, for instance, if you want to take a picture real quick. Would definitely recommend. Only reason it's not 5 stars is well it's not a full HTC One lol. If the camera was a bit better or if they offered a bit more storage space it would definitely get 5.

Update: (not so) Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner! :)
(Scroll down for update) Original review: I have owned this phone for one day, so not much time spent with it yet. I plan to update my review after I've had it a while. Right out of the box I liked it. It was much lighter and thinner than my previous phone, and it felt good in my hands. I was a bit perplexed as to why this model was red-orange in color. I don't object, but color is very important to most people, so that had me curious. I installed the battery in the compartment (easy!) and plugged it in to charge it for activation. When I did I found that it had 1/2 charge. That was nice! Next was the activation with Boost. I've been a Boost customer since Jan 2013, so with an existing account it should have been flawless to activate this phone. It was NOT! After three failed attempts to call customer care from the number preinstalled in the phone (the recording kept saying I should call customer care and hanging up on me), I finally managed to get the phone activated without calling. In my experience, Boost's automated customer service call center stinks! (This did not affect my rating of the phone, because it applies to all Boost phones.) After activation, I started toying with the phone and its features. It was lightening fast, much faster than all my previous Android phones ever were (Droid Original, Droid 1, Droid 3, one that I forgot, Samsung Transform Ultra, Kyocera Hydro, Kyocera Hydro Edge). The touch screen was very responsive, the display was bright and clear, and the design of the home screens and icons were clear and organized. So far so good! :) I tried out the calling features and found the phone part of the OS easier to use than with my previous phone. This was my first 4G LTE phone call, and it was great. I made a couple of calls and texts with no issues at all. Next I tried the 5mp camera. It took clear, sharp pictures, and had a pretty decent editing feature. Sweet! I have yet to try out the front-facing selfie cam, or the video options. More on those in my update. After I spent a little time poking around in the apps list and using the camera, I decided to check for OS updates. This is day two and it has already installed 3 OS updates so far, bringing my current OS to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. I must say I liked the display better before I installed any updates (minor issue). Other than that, the OS seems responsive and more user-friendly than my previous phone's OS, 4.1.1. Overall I like the phone. Other than the minor issues I mentioned, I'm happy so far. Will rate it five stars now because what annoyed me was not enough to deduct a star. I bought it on sale here in Amazon, regularly $279, on sale for $79 and change. Considering price and performance, I believe this 4G LTE Boost prepaid smartphone is a winner! Five stars ***** :) ***Update - downgraded to three stars 2-10-2015*** After using this phone for a week, here is my assessment. The phone OS upgraded four times in three days. With every update, I disliked it more. By the final update nothing looked the same. The display and features that I initially liked were gone, and the phone was more sluggish than it was out of the box (probably due to an internal memory issue); the phone performed poorly and the OS features were no longer easy to use (less streamlined). I do not know if it is Boost's OS that I dislike, or if it is the Android OS update, but by days three and four I was ready to throw it. And at that point, none of my settings would stay the way I wanted. My display brightness was changing, although I set it manually and deselected automatic brightness adjustment. The screen timeout, battery conserve modes and volume settings were going haywire. And speaking of battery, the battery will not stay charged, even though I have all apps force closed that would drain it. I am a bettery conservationist - have owned Android phones for years, so I know what's up. I don't have wallpaper, I have my screen on lowest brightness, and I don't have apps running in the background, or anything that would drain the battery. I initially had high expectations for this phone, but now I have spoken to Amazon about the battery not charging, and I plan to return the phone to Amazon for a refund. I gave it three stars because of the excellent call quality, sleek appearance, nice picture quality (and nice stock photo editing features) and the quick loading of websites. The rest of the features of this phone pretty much sux.
