LEGO City 60022 Cargo Terminal Toy Building Set

I purchased the LEGO City 60022 Cargo Terminal Building Set years ago when my first child was born as a set we'd get to build eventually. Well, that day finally came recently and my son and I recently spent a few afternoons slowly building the sets' incredibly detailed components. We own several other LEGO jets of various shapes and sizes including the LEGO City Passenger Plane 3181 and Lego City Airport VIP Service 60102 but the jet included in this set is both the largest LEGO jet we own and also our favorite! -------------------- ► ASSEMBLY: -------------------- There aren't too many surprises when it comes to the assembly process. For my son (4.5-years-old) this set is beyond his building capability but we build our sets slowly with me helping a lot in the process. The jet in this set features a single piece that makes up the frame for the wings (see picture) and this is dramatically different from our other LEGO aircraft. The net result is a wing that has a lot more flex than I expected, not that this is a bad thing. The jet also features a lot of large pieces that make up the fuselage which makes the jet surprisingly easy and quick to build. The landing gear on the jet does not retract and are permanently mounted in the 'down' position on the aircraft. -------------------- ► NEAT FEATURES IN THIS SET: -------------------- I always like to include descriptions of neat extras that maybe aren't readily apparent from the product pictures in my LEGO reviews. In this set, those features include the cargo aircraft featuring two large doors that open at the apex of the aircraft and open upward. This makes loading and unloading cargo using the forklift easy! The aircraft also features a tail that is anchored on one side and opens effectively opening the aircraft in half... cool! The cargo pallets in this set include some pretty interesting cargo. One pallet features a basic ATV frame, a second pallet includes the wheels that can be mounted on the ATV, effectively giving you another (small) vehicle in this set! The third pallet features apparent gold bars secured in a high-security pallet box! The last pallet features boxes full of LEGO sets! The air traffic control tower is pretty cool too and has a radar dish that rotates on its axis. We also appreciate that LEGO designed the air traffic control tower with a rotating seat that makes setting the minifigure inside the tower a lot easier. The conveyor vehicle is also pretty neat and features a conveyor belt that really moves. The low point here is that the arm that supports the belt doesn't do a good job holding the conveyor in the upright position. -------------------- ► MINIFIGURES: -------------------- You get five minifigures in this set including: [1] Pilot [2] ATC controller [3] Refueling worker [4] Forklift driver [5] Cargo car driver -------------------- ►CLOSING: -------------------- I realize my review for this set comes pretty late and after it's been retired by LEGO. I figured I'd provide a detailed review in case anyone is looking at buying from a third-party seller. This is an incredible LEGO set and if you're a fan of LEGO City or aircraft this is an excellent purchase. Recommended!

I like this product because it was big but easy to build and it comes with really unique minifigures and great details.

Wow, this set is awesome! Santa brought it this year for my 8 year old son. Took him about 3 hours (not all at once) without any help from me. He has definitely been the most creative with this Lego set. My favorite part is the working forklift! The air traffic control tower is a little unstable though, the base needs to be a bit bigger. We have to lean it against the dining table leg when we play with it.

OMG...my son absolutely loves this set. It has a lot of pieces to build. My son just turned 7 and he had it built in two days. He loves it and plays with it every chance he gets. I highly recommend it for any kid that loves Lego's. Worth every penny.

This set has been my 9 year old son's dream for a long time, and he is thrilled with it. There are many little vehicles along with the plane that keeps his entertained for hours. The big down side to the new generation of Lego is that too many parts are moulded already and don't allow for much creative building. And crazy expensive too! My old Lego set from 1976 is still my fav, my son creates so many different things with it. Lego must rethink it's design and cost.

Great big set and a happy girl with the huge plane after it's done. There are some sections which require the help of an adult or an older child to help connect but overall, this is a GREAT set! I believe it's also being discontinued as we didn't see this set in stores.

The only problem with this lego set is that there are so many different pieces and my son can never keep them together. This is a great lego set though, with all kinds of neat parts that go inside the cargo plane. Really complete and imaginative.

I loved lego but this Plane and the items with it just out of the blue. The details of the plane and easy to assemble it, I got it for my 8 yr old and he built the full set in couple hrs, with out any issue. After it was arranged, from far it looks like its real and things is going to take off in a flash. The Cargo accessories are perfect and looks like they got it off the local airport tarmac. Loved it and my 8yr old loved it too.

Nous Voilà donc , au lendemain , du réveillon de Noël , et j'entends encore les Hourrahs , de mes Neveux et nièces , en ouvrant leurs cadeaux de Noël !!! Cet Avion a été déballé , et l'enfant a qui il a été offert , était enthousiaste !!! Il s'est écrié HOURRAH !!! Offrant ce cadeau , j'étais évidemment ravis . La boite est belle , et de belle qualité , présentation simple , élégante , sérieuse et les illustrations et photos , comme toujours chez Lego , donne une image réelle des modèles et personnages , une fois , les éléments assemblés . Le terminal de l'aéroport aéroport , avec son avion cargo lego et les engins et personnages sont MAGNIFIQUES !!! Le soin apporté à l'élaboration de ce jouet est extraordinaire . Les pièces sont robustes et de qualité , le plastique de type ABS est d'une qualité toujours aussi robuste . le design des éléments est au TOP . La boite contient 5 personnages . Les costume sont très soignés . L'élaboration et l'usinage de chaque pièce ets impeccable !!! Et les engins de l'aéroport une fois montés sont Bluffant !!! Beaucoup de style . L'ensemble est très beau . beaucoup de "réalisme" ...!!! La tourelle de contrôle est très belle . MAGNIFIQUE ! Aucune partie , une fois montée ne donne une sensation de fragilité et c'est une impression de robustesse qui se dégage de l'ensemble . la construction et plaisante , et n'est pas d'une difficulté élevée . C'est LA BEAUTE de l'ensemble , et le potentiel divertissement de ce jouet qui est impressionnante . L'AVION une fois monté est très beau . L'enfant à qui ce jouet a été offert était , Heureux Heureux !!!! Les photos parlent d'elles mêmes !!! j'ai été impressionné par la qualité des composants , et la conception générale . un jouet très très bien conçu . L'avion est encore plus beau en vrai !!! les hublots , les réacteurs , l'engin de levage . Les sont vives ! superbes ! Quel esthétique générale . les lego Chimas sont très beaux , certains vaisseaux Star Wars sont d'un design fantastique, mais de tous les jouets Lego que j'ai pu offrir , c'est peut être celui qui a dégagé le plus d'enthousiasme tout au long de la soirée de Noël. Les pièces sont très correctement réparties dans des petits sachets plastique de qualité. Il y a les Stickers ! et le mode d'emploi est très clair . 5 personnages ! tout de même , il semble qu'avec les années Lego soit d e plus en plus ""généreux"" au niveau , du nombre de figurines dans les boites . Tant Mieux ! Les visages sont très agréablement expressifs et très bien dessinées . Franchement ??? SUPER !!! Evaluation ,""niveau assemblage"",assemblage simple et sans soucis . Très belles couleurs !!! Un très beau jouet !

Das Flugzeug ist wunderbar, hat viele schöne Details und Zubehör. Ich hatte zunächst Bedenken, da viele Kritiken darauf hinweisen, dass das Flugzeug nicht stabil genug ist, zB die Triebwerke leicht abfallen. Was die Triebwerke angeht, kann ich das bestätigen, ABER das Problem ist lösbar ohne echten optischen Verlust. Es gibt unten den Tragflächen ungenutzte Noppen, die für eine Verstärkung verwendet werden können. Auch kann man sie eine Noppe nach hinten setzen, so dass sie an 2x4 halten, statt 2x3. Danach halten die Triebwerke wunderbar. Jedenfalls bei unserem 8-Jährigen. Auch sonstige Umbauten sind machbar, so dass man auch noch ein paar Personen unterkriegt, wenn das Bedürfnis groß ist...

This was brought for my 11 year old son he really loves it, A really good lego set the plane is quite big and has lots of play value. I got this set at a good price but as I always the case with lego worth paying the full price for this set.

Fue un regalo para mi hijo pequeño. Tengo dos hijas que juegan muchísimo con Lego pero a mí hijo no le gusta tanto y quería ver si con un avión le atrae más. Si que ha jugado más con ello.Para mi la pega que tiene Lego es el precio, me parece siempre un poco caro y eso que por Amazon sale mejor normalmente.
