I'm super inlove with Learing Resources Toy Company. Theese food toys are super well made and such good quality. They are also super adorable! Best food toys out there. I like theese toys alot. I've already bought 2 other sets and absolutely love those as well. Since looking for food toys Learing Resources is my go to toys to buy for play food. We have a set from Melissa and Doug and they are nice but in my opinion not even close to how nice LR food toys are. M&D are wayyyyy over priced as well. Plus LR food toys are waaaaayyyyy cuter!!!! Only thing is some LR play sets are a little pricy then others but....... I do think it's worth it. Theese toys arnt gonna break and they will last a loooong time. I do wish the tomato was a little bigger but it's not a big issue at all. I'm soo happy with theese cute food toys . They are Amazing! I can't wait to buy more. I'm 33 years old and I have so much fun with theese toys. They're that freaking cute! I want more sets and definitely gonna buy more. My husband says.... No more chill out! It's hard though cause theese toys are really cute and you get such a cute set and the sizes are BIG! I can't say enough about this brand. Just buy them for your kids they will love them. I know I love them and so does my 5 year old son. Whenever I want more food toys I look for LR first!!! So many things to choose from. Cutest food toys ever!!! I'm addicted . Really Awesome toys! Okay I'm Done lol 🥰 ohhh wait....doesn't come with a food tray that's ours from home just in case somebody thinks this set comes with a food tray it does not.

My daughters are 5, 3 1/2, and 15 months old, so we have bought and played with a lot of play food over the years, including Melissa & Doug's wooden food. I am so glad I got this lunch basket for them- it is our favorite play food we have! The food is realistic looking, but made from good quality plastic that holds up well having three little girls pretending to cook it, serving it, and pretending to eat it (and two out my three tend to be really rough on toys). When the package first arrived, I surprised my girls with the baskets (lunch and dinner) and they immediately started playing with them. None of it is too small for my 15 month old to enjoy playing with as well. I also bought the dinner basket, and will be ordering the breakfast basket after writing these 2 reviews. Excellent product, good price, we are very pleased with this and can't recommend it enough!

I really like this set. The colors are vibrant, the foods are hefty, and they are fairly realistic looking (for playfood). What's really cool and not really mentioned by others is the basket that comes with the set. Very sturdy & similar to a real grocery store basket. One thing we did not receive was the activity guide, which I'm disappointed about. I wouldn't say that all the foods are true to size but they are perfect for a toddler's hands. And when my daughter gets tired of them (which I doubt she ever will) I plan to use them in my practice as an RD when I teach my patients about nutrition:) So a very fun & educational product!

The Healthy Lunch set contains 2 wheat bread slices, 2 turkey slices, slice of cheese, slice of tomato, slice of lettuce, 4 celery sticks, bunch of grapes, orange, carton of milk, 2 pretzels, and basket. Cons: wheat bread is a bit dark Pros: great selection and very realistic, carton of milk is cute I love that Learning Resources food is bendable. The Bread, turkey slices, cheese, lettuce and celery sticks give a bit which makes them much more realistic. The coloring is great and durable. You can make an even wider variety of sandwiches if you buy the Learning Resources Sandwich Set, Set Of 14 - Colors May Vary as well. By the way, I contacted Learning Resources about the safety of their plastic and this is their response. "We take safety very seriously and all of our products meet or exceed safety standards. I am writing to assure you that all our product meets Learning Resources high standards for toy safety. They do NOT contain phthalates or lead and are made of PVC and low density polyethylene. They do not contain BPA and is made with PVC plastics. We take safety very for all of our children's products and toys are evaluated against the standards set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). This includes testing for certain phthalates (a plasticizer used to make plastic soft), lead in paint, lead in substrate and compliance with the testing guidelines set forth by ASTM F-963."

As a teacher and mom of 3, this is my favorite brand of play food. The quality is great! I initially bought some for my older two in 2020 and it has held up amazingly. I just bought some more for my youngest. She absolutely loves it. It is realistic but still playful. It's a little pricier than other brands but definitely worth it.

The lettuce and bread are by far the BEST pieces from this set! The flex of the lettuce makes it extremely realistic and the bread has actual "texture" A very convincing piece of wheat bread. The orange is realistic but smaller, making it more of a mandarin or tangerine. The pretzels are not as realistic but are made from a very thick, quality plastic. This is a quality set with life sized pieces as compared to some of the cheaper pretend food that can be quite tiny and squished to the point of no return by applying any amount of pressure. I actually prefer the life sized pieces this set offers as compared to the New Sprouts smaller sizing. We own all 3 of these Pretend and Play sets and have found them to be better overall since my kids like the idea of playing with "real food" not toy sized versions made for them...I am sure this depends on the child. I wish I could find more of the Pretend Play sized sets but it seems they are expanding the smaller sized New Sprouts line instead.

What a pleasant surprise when I received this set! I was searching for play food that was good quality (not super thin plastic) and "healthy" foods. We've been through two sets of cheap baskets of food from Wal-mart or wherever. You know the ones, some of the food is unrecognizable and the pieces are thin and tiny. Well, the Learning Resources Healthy Lunch Basket is amazing. Seriously. The foods are heavy plastic/rubbery and realistic! My boys (2 and 1 years old) both were excited to play with it right away! The pieces are not "life size" but the perfect size for little hands to play with - not ridiculously tiny either. I'm so impressed with the quality, I'm buying the other two baskets today. Spend the extra money for this set. It's worth it.

I guess you could say I'm a play food fanatic. I've always loved play food! So when we got our daughter a play kitchen for Christmas last year, I didn't want to get junky looking food. After much searching, we settled on Learning Resources. It's fantastic! Very realistic looking. I love that they offer the "healthy" options. Gives us the opportunity to pretend play with food we actually eat- and encourages conversations about healthy eating. We have been playing with this food on an almost daily basis for a whole year, and we still love it.

As always learning resources are a great rubber easy to clean product
