Hefty Strong Lawn and Leaf Large Garbage Bags, 39 Gallon, 18 Count

Hefty's Lawn and Leaf bags have red drawstring handles, and are NOT scented. But it appears Hefty has decided to package their HORRIBLY SCENTED Trashcan Liners with blue drawstring handles in the boxes they used to use for Lawn and Leaf bags. We had bought a box locally and had the same problem, so I ordered these on Amazon, because in the very first line of the description it shows "unscented". But these ARE SCENTED. Maybe Hefty is now scenting all their bags? I can't stand the stink of these things, so I returned them. No more Hefty bags for me. I can't trust they won't be putrid.

I am SO upset right now! I purchased these for a medically necessary unfortunately, road trip as part of my protocol for having to spend the night in hotels. My plan was to drape every surface in them so my family and our bags would be sitting on a sanitized surface to help keep COVID at bay. The description says they are UNSCENTED which is a must for a household member with asthma. Packing for the trip I open the box and discover they are definitely NOT unscented, but throwing off noxious toxic fumes. FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS WORST WHEN YOU INTENTIONALLY PUT PEOPLE’S HEALTH IN JEOPARDY! Now my husband is masked and driving to a local store in search of ones we can actually USE. I don’t write many reviews, but had to for this one. I figured I had the runt of the litter, but after reading these reviews, it’s pretty obvious that there is a defect going on during production. One side of the draw string works, and the other side is glued, or melted to the bag, rendering the drawstring useless. When you pull on it, it tears the bag. At first I figured it would only be one or two of them, since in the past, I have had a few bad draw strings, but now I am almost done with the box and every one of the, have been bad.

This holds rubbish. Or presumably clothing going to your local donation center. Or maybe a dead body, you never know... I'm not judging. Again, if the latter applies to you, or you are considering applicability of that use case, you have larger problems than an amazon review can assist. Go get some help, there's probably a hotline or something I'm too lazy to link to here. If you want this for leaves and household rubbish, you're fine. Sometimes the pull strings break, and they aren't always super duper watertight if you're dumping more than a cup of water at a time, but they are trash bags, if they were that awesome you might have issues parting with them.

I live in an apartment so I cannot attest to the garbage bag’s durability when it comes to lawncare needs. I can, however, attest to the bags durability when it comes to using them for everyday household and kitchen trash use. The bags are strong and puncture resistant when used daily to dispose of various food containers and other typical household items. The bags are also large, and the depth of the bags are deep allowing for longer use before disposal. The drawstring is sturdy and makes tying, closing, and carrying heavy bags of trash down a flight of stairs to the dumpster a breeze. I also used these bags after my fish died and had to clean out my fish tank. I used the bags to dispose of the wet and heavy rocks so that I could easily carry the heavy bags down the stairs. I doubled each bag and did not experience any rips or ruptures.

I have been using these bags for years now as a way to hold yard debris and waste from the yard. I recently purchased my 10th and 11th box of these, and noticed something peculiar, they no longer hold up the way they used to, and the material of the bag itself has changed (went from a matte finish bag to glossy). With this material change the quality of construction has significantly dropped and the sturdiness of the bag has also been reduced. While they claim the mil width is still the same, it stretches and rips so much easier that i end up having to scoop up the yard debris a second time and double or triple bag in some cases (leaves, crushed leaves, crushed flowers, mulch and dust mostly) I cannot exceed seven shovel (garden spade sized - not snow shovel sized) of debris into these bags without either the top ripping completely off when carrying or the bottom coming out, or it touching my pants pocket and ripping - no rivets either on the pants.the other issue with these bags is that many times the tie handles have broken off when trying to tie up the bag, which was the reason i switched from the costco brand bags in the first place.Going back to the HDX bags which with the same load and contents hold up MUCH better.

OK, i liked the fact that they were 33 gal. and had lots of room. ++ for capacity. HOWEVER, these bags are amazingly thin and weak! got the bag out of the trash receptacle with ease, started to tighten the drawstrings and WOW, already i could see stretching and a tear, could not even begin to tighten. i routinely reef down on my glad forceflex plus bags, which i really like, with zero issues even when loaded with way more weight and volume! i can only believe that the positive reviews were a different bag or they have changed the spec on the bag. think i will see if glad makes a 33 gallon bag!

I don't really consider 48 bags to be a "mega pack". Their other large sizes come in 74 packs. That's what I wanted, but I couldn't find it so these will have to do.They're as good as you expect from this brand. Son débiles pero muy prácticas, no las podemos llenar con cosas pesadas, pero el volumen y las tiras que al jalarlas cierran por completo la bolsa, la hacen muy cómoda para limpiezas generales o como nosotros que la basura la recogen ciertos días de la semana y no diariamente.También sirven para proteger ropa de la humedad y aparatos que no se usan del polvo y humedad, muy buenas también para guardar colchas.

La descripción del artículo dice que son SIN perfume lo cual es falso, las bolsas tienen aroma. Las ordené precisamente por este factor por lo cual no volverán a ser ordenadas.Por lo demás cumplen su cometido.

I used them for yard cleanup. They handled the weight of wet leaves and dirt no problem. Some sticks poked through, but none of the bags tore open

Yes these are good garbage bags.You shouldn't be afraid to purchase them.
