Protein Bar, 1.83oz (Pack of 12), High Protein Snack, Gluten Free

I've eaten a lot of RX bars in my life and have enjoyed all the flavors I've tried. I got these for my husband because he needs either a quick snack or a breakfast bar each day. These are perfect for an on-the-go lifestyle as they are easy to take with you wherever you are headed. Throw them in your briefcase, gym bag or purse and even pocket. I like that these have simple ingredients that are all pretty healthy and they're pretty filling for the size, but you can read what the ingredients are so I'm mostly going to focus on the taste and texture. I was expecting something pretty strange tasting from the reviews I read and how much of it is egg white, but it actually tastes pretty good to me. The consistency reminds me of the original powerbars - kind of firm but sticky, almost a bit tacky. One concern I would have is that I've had fillings come out in the past when eating tacky candy like taffy, and the consistency is almost like that. I like the consistency better after 5 seconds or so in the microwave, or if you're in a warm environment they should be fine. I enjoy all of the flavors and I'm pretty impressed considering how healthy the ingredients seem to be.

****Update**** Contact the company directly if there's an issue. I had to email them and they responded the next day. Not only did they apologize and hear me out, but they also sent me the bars I was missing and then some. They gave me both the classic and new variety packs as compensation. Overwhelmed with gratitude for a company that stands behind their product, listens to their customers and takes care of them. ----‐‐-------------------------------------------- WARNING!! Flavors shown may not actually be what you get!!!! Super disappointed after purchasing these because in the description and picture it shows that Blueberry and Mixed Berry are part of the assortment. Well, they lie. I would have given 5 stars if that was the case. The boxes came perfectly intact, the product is fabulous, and the price point is great. Wish I would have known about the flavors just being whatever they decide to send you because I would have just purchased them individually instead. But if you don't care about knowing what flavors you're getting this is a great bargain.

I discovered these bars through a giveaway where I received several of them! I liked them enough to look for them here on Amazon and get a variety pack. Pros: There are delicious flavors, plus no junk added in. My favorite I've tried so far is Maple Sea Salt. Least favorite is Chocolate Mint (although if you LOVE Chocolate Mint flavored things, you will probably really like it. The mint was too strong for my taste). They are easy to throw in my bag and take with me to work or on a workout. Cons: Just be aware that these things are CHEWY. They remind me of the texture of a Power Bar. It's not necessarily bad, but it takes some work to bite and chew (some flavors seem to be harder than others). I also felt like I kept getting pieces of the bar stuck in my teeth while I was eating...not great when I was eating at work and trying to talk to a coworker. :) Overall, though, I really like these as a quick and easy protein source that is not filled with added sugar and chemicals. I will continue to buy!

I loved all the flavors that came in this pack. A bar for lunch or breakfast while on the go is perfect. I can go for 3-4 hours without feeling even a little hungry. The only downside is the texture. These are very chewy and stick on your teeth. Make sure you have something to drink while eating these. Is not idea for a meeting where you might have to speak face to face with others while eating. Otherwise a great buy and I will reorder.
