Holds a lot! Zipper popped off but went back on easily and sealed well. Roll slowly don't sit on it like i did and beat it up
Great for storage or for your checked luggage or larger backpack. Be ready to get a workout though on large bag lol. Fir 22 summer outfits which had 3 pants a light weight silk evening gown and various shirts and shorts (to practice pack lol >.< 😂😂😂 but i rolled them..just lay flat and then its easier. Could have probably put more in large. I assume medium is great for a backpack as thats probably what i will use along with the specter compression sacks which are amazing as well!!! It held up and did not rip even though i seriously sat on it and tried to test its endurance even tossed it around but i dont recommend you doing that but nothing broke or came out and clothes didn't explode everywhere like i thought it would. I like to do these things sometimes to see what conditions I may face while traveling but these are good value and great for packing. Roll slowly and make sure you remove as much air before sealing so when you roll it goes by faster. Otherwise you'll have nice abs lol

Durable, But No Burp Valve
If you're familiar with compression storage bags, you probably won't be disappointed with the quality of Eagle Creek's version. The plastic is durable, the seals are strong and, once compressed, they stay that way for several days. My only complaint is that these bags lack a burp valve, which I wrongly assumed was standard equipment on compression bags. The lack of a burp valve means that, to compress the contents, you have to roll the bags from bottom to top like a toothpaste tube in order to effectively shrink-wrap the contents (e.g. clothing, bedding, or whatever other pliant items you wish to pack inside). If you don't mind wrinkling the contents beyond recognition, have at it. But, if your wish is to compress items by applying pressure while remaining flat, this is not the best choice for that. Nonetheless, all that aside, if the primary goal is to keep contents fresh, dry, or protect them from absorbing odors, these are great.

High hopes but big disappointment
Here are the sizes: M = 16" x 20" / L = 17" x 25". We're heading to Europe and traveling on the rail pass, so we need to get everything into a roll-on and backpack. We thought these would be "great" in condensing our packing from the reviews but were disappointed for several reasons. First, they're almost too large unless you're packing larger items or a whole bunch of items in each. Second, they didn't really save any room! That's right. The compression seems to work... squeezing out air as you roll the zipped end... and they definitely look flatter when done. But after trying them and getting a little frustrated (it is a hassle), we instead tried just Ebags Packing Cubes and found that everything fit just the same. It compresses about the same with suitcase or roller bag cinch straps and when you close the bag. So we think they're making you "feel" like you're accomplishing a lot more than you really are in saving space.

Made travel a breeze-must have!
I purchased several items on Amazon for my European trip and most were so so so worth it, this product included. I traveled vey light, which is unlike me, with just a carry on and backpack for almost a month of travel. The only way I was able to do this was due to my amazing company packing, compliments of these bad boys. :). You simply place the clothes in the bag folded and create a small layer with several items. Then you can roll the bag up or fold it by hand to push the air out and compress the bag. No vacuum or much time needed. We unpacked and reps led dozens of times along our trip and each time this was so easy and made packing back up a breeze. Love this product and would highly recommend.

effective packing bags
Only used once and seem to work great. I packed without these by my normal rolling of my clothes, then again using these bags. I could fit one of the Med size bags extra after compressing vs rolling each item individually. So, for me, it was about 8 items more. Just note, if flying, it does add weight by the extra amount put in. And, I do pack my suitcases as full as possible! The little clip that slides across to close these bags, came off the first time I zipped them up. Luckily, like others have said, it is not a necessary implement to use the bags and does not seem to affect the bags in any way. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of these bags.

Good value for money purchase, quite big
I purchased to fit my heavy ski coat in my carry-on, hoping it would fit in the large bag. It fit well in the medium. Its one-way valves aren't the best to release air (it takes a lot of force) but overall good value for money. Photos below of men's adult ski jacket, compressed to the size of a pair of shoes in medium bag. 8.5"x11 paper for scale.

A Must-Have for Travelers!
These are SO great. They really save you a ton of space and make packing bulky items extremely easy! I was able to fit my snow pants and jacket in one of the medium bags, making for easy storage in my carry-on luggage. This is a MUST HAVE item if you're planning a ski trip and want to cut costs by bringing only a carry-on. After a test-run, I'm confident that I can fit all of my clothes and toiletries in a carry-on bag for my upcoming 4 day trip to Whistler. These pack-it bags are great for saving space and are so easy to use! Just put your clothes into the bag, seal it, then roll out the air. I like to use my knee to knead the bag and ensure that I've taken out as much air as possible before storing. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and have recommended it to various friends.

Perfect for traveling
Used this for a cruise vacation. When going on the trip, I used it to store clothing I wanted to keep clean and not touch the interior of the suitcase, like underwear, socks, etc... After loading up the biggest bag with all the clothes, instead of rolling it up to expel the air, I chose to use a vacuum cleaner which was much more effective and easier. Resulted in a tremendous amount of room in the luggage. At the end of the vacation, packed all my dirty clothes into the bag and used the roll up method. Not bad, but not as efficient and as easy as a vacuum cleaner. Still got the job done though.I like the quality of the bags. The reinforcements in the bag makes it look and feel a lot sturdier.

Recent production bags not up to normal Eagle Creek standards
Quality of recent (2017-2018) Medium-size bags has been terrible--not as good as they used to be (which WAS awesome).

Hmmm...
Not as useful as other eagle creek products. Well made, but I don't find them to be useful. But, if you want a compression clothing bag, they do what they say they will do.

Failed after 2 uses
If these are supposed to be reusable, they are a total failure. After using for one trip, both bags would no longer stay compressed. Waste of money.

Highly recommended for the light traveler
I use these to store my dirty clothes in so they don't smell up my backpack while traveling. They work great and help keep the size of everything small.
