nice piece of furniture that actually works
Pros:* stylish looks* small* even though it has small display navigating in MP3 collection is not too cumbersome* plays records just fine (no noticeable jitter)* does all that description promised, except for "Cassette Direct to USB/SD Card" - there is obviously no tape deckCons:* no volume controls on remote* can only play first 999 songs on USB/SD (easy to get on this limit with 8GB+ thumbdrives)* built-in speakers (3"?) doing their best, but for serious reproduction get yourself external powered speakers (RCA line-out)* equalizer would be nice, esp. records sounds little flat compared to volume boosted MP3s* converting records to MP3 is little uncomfortable - you need to start recording few seconds before you play the record and split the tracks manually using remote control* my unit only lasted 5 days, then the electronics went nuts and I had to return it. Nevertheless I liked it so much I'm getting another one.

not worth the aggravation
Looks nice. Sound is pretty good for it's size and it does have additional speaker capability w/rca . Dont pay more than $100 for this unit. Cons:>"Amber" backlight is glaring white and only on during radio mode;>Antenna is pitifully insufficient and they provide no way to hook up a decent FM antenna (if you're very technically savvy you can rig one but you have to purchase an outdoor antenna and install it on the roof etc bla bla;>It it advertised as having cassette to mp3 recording (it even says so on the box it came in!) but there is no cassette capability;> When switching at the dial to cd/sd/usb mode, the unit does not recognize that it has a usb or sd card plugged in, it just says "no cd" until you press "source" on remote or unit.>On usb play it does not have memory ie; when you turn the unit off half way through your song list, turn it back on it starts over @ song 1. Even my mini-mp3 player that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car has this feature!!!;>The remote has no volume control NOR on/off capability. It functions only for the cd/usb/mp3 recording and searching function. (the searching function is hinky)Haven't had time to put a vinyl on the turntable or listen to cd yet.UPDATE: just tried to play audio book I had downloaded from 'net chapter by chapter & saved to an sd card. when installing the card, the stereo made a horrible noise, then started a random chapter and not at the beginning of the chapter!! It started playing 40-45 seconds in. Same results when I put the book on a flash drive (except no horrible noise when plugging in) The book plays from my small mp3 player with entire chapters from the beginning. The Pyle does not omit the first part of any music however!!!??? I want to THROW IT THROUGH THE WINDOW!!

I love it!
I admit that I've only used it to listen to a couple records and play around with the radio turner so far, but I'm still impressed. Great look, great sound, great buy! :)UPDATE: 2.5 years later and I still love it! I use it mainly for playing records, and I haven't had a single problem with it. It plays my records and CDs beautifully and still looks stylish. The lid has cutouts on the side and back which allow you to play the record with the lid closed if you want, which is nice. The sound quality is excellent, even when the volume is turned up high. And speaking of volume, the range is great; I often put on a record in my living room before going off to do chores in the kitchen and have no problem hearing it. Of course, it can be played on a quieter level and sound just as good. Overall, I'm still pleased with this purchase; it's one of my favorites things.

I ordered this turntable based on previous reviews. Unfortunately the product I received was of poor quality. The 33 record would not turn because the lid would not open properly. The sound quality is bad. The cover for the CD player fell when I took the record player from the box. Very disappointed with item.

Pretty neat-o
I found this for my dad to give to my mother as a gift so she could play her old records. It looks really nice and is easy to use. My mother complains that she can't get a deep base sound out of it, but it isn't a high-end stereo. My daughter thinks it sounds great as does her similar player at home- very good sound for a smaller-type unit. Unless you are very perfectionistic about sound, it should do the trick nicely and most especially for the low price. If you are looking for that type of perfection, you shouldn't be looking at any of these small all-in-one units.

Great Style but as far as playing vinyl.........worse than a dusty 8 track at a yardsale
I bought this unit as a gift as it was loaded with features compared to the competition. Ultimately, I wanted a record player as we already have cd players, radios, etc around the house but having everything combined and compact was great.........as a concept online. The main feature just doesn't work - it skips the first track on all albums from new albums from 2015 to original Beatles vinyl. We couldn't adjust to get the very cheap arm/cartridge to not skip track 1, nor skip throughout on other tracks. The quality is the killer - so it had to go back being we couldn't even listen to 1 album. I love the styling so do not have the heart to give this 1 star so an additional star for aesthetics and to Amazon for superior customer return service.

This record player is amazing.
I bought this record player used for 60 bucks. It has been really great. Sometimes the radio is fuzzy but it comes with an antennae that I just haven't had time to put together yet so I'm sure that will fix the problem. The record player works great and plays pretty much any size of record you have. The remote is kind of weird, definitely not as straight forward as the player itself and I've been fiddling with it for awhile. Everything else is great though and the player itself has a place to plug in extra loud speakers and looks really rad.
