Great Product
Works better than the more expensive equipment we previously bought that broke after a few years. Super easy to install. Easy to use. Scans fast.

Nice Scanner GARBAGE Software
Nice Scanner GARBAGE Software. I've contacted tech support 7 or 8 times to solve a software problem (the scanner saves images in a sequentially numbered file, or at least it's supposed to) because I keep getting error messages that the file I'm trying to save to already exists. If I overwrite, I lose my last scan. I don't want to lose my last scan. I need my last scan. Long story short, the problem is solved for 50 scans or so then comes back no matter what I or tech support tries. Buy a different scanner. After 6 months of this nonsense I'm being forced to. (I'm running Windows 7 64bit).

Inexpensive with some drawbacks
It's cheaper than other alternatives but it isn't twain compliant so we can't use it directly from our existing software.Another annoyance is that the card just drops out the back of the unit after it scans forcing you to pick up the card from the table-top behind the unit which may not be easy on an already cluttered reception desk. It would have been better if the unit was a top load where the card would just fall into a tray in the bottom.If all you need is a card image, this gets the job done on the cheap.

Excellent card scanner
This is a great card scanner for insurance cards. It includes basic software. It only scans one side of the card at a time, but scans quickly enough that this is not a big issue.

Should be so simple....and yet is so terrible!
Looks like it should be simple and straight forward, right? Out of the gates, the Serial Number in the QuickStart guide won't activate the product. Then we proceed with the "Trial" anyhow...software connects, is ready, card goes in, software status moves to "Scanning" and then ERROR and the software disconnects from the device. I have to physically unplug and plug the USB cord back in AND restart the software before I can even begin this frustrating process again.

No OCR software is included.All you get is an image of the card.Smartphone app more useful for getting data from card.
